Mots Chinois composés de deux concepts opposés
Je me suis amusé à faire une liste de vocabulaire de mots chinois composés par deux caractères de sens opposés ou autrement dit de deux concepts antonymiques.Il y a par exemple toute une série de mots dans la langue chinoise servant à mesurer qui se forment de cette manière. La taille pouvant se dire « grand-petit », l’épaisseur : « épais-mince », etc. (1)
Cela devient plus intéressant pour des concepts plus abstraits, quand l'alliance des deux caractères de sens opposés donne naissance à un nouveau concept. Un des premiers mots que l’on apprend en chinois est « dong-xi », le « truc », la « chose ». Qui est composé des caractères désignant l’est (dong) et l’ouest (xi). (2)
Il y aussi les mots qui se contentent de regrouper deux antonymes sans que l’alliance des deux concepts opposés ne débouche sur un nouveau concept, mais qui servent juste à exposer ces deux concepts côte à côte. Comme par exemple dans « gloire et honneur », 荣辱[榮-] róng-rǔ. Je trouve à ces mots une certaine utilité pédagogique car ils permettent de clairement identifier et retenir deux antonymes. (3)
